I am pleased to show you Margaret Higgs. She is a large Queen Anne style doll carved from basswood and measuring just over 19" tall. She is fully jointed and has painted eyes in the style of the early 1680 Higgs dolls.
Her clothes are all made of early antique fabrics and trims and her bodice is made of silk and metallic trim that I have hand stitched together and lined. Her clothes are removable, just in case she gets a wardrobe at a later date.
Margaret also is wearing a chatelaine that I made for her as well.
Her slippers are silk and her wonderful cap is from a piece of early Ayrshire from England.
If you would like more info or photos of Margaret Higgs just email me and I will be happy to send you more. toysintheattic@sympatico.ca
Thanks for looking!
